Carelmapu is a town located in the Chilean commune of Maullín, in the X Region of Los Lagos and 85 km from Puerto Montt. It was founded in the 17th century as San Antonio Ribera de Carelmapu and is currently known for its ancient and massive annual celebration in honor of the “Virgen de la Candelaria”.

The property  has a privileged location for SURF and beach lovers, it is 5 minutes from the beautiful, unique and almost virgin Playa Brava  also the city of Puerto Montt is  only 30 minutes away

The property borders the paved V-900 road at 980mts with 3 direct accesses, it is mostly flat, with areas of pasture for cattle, some   mature native trees and others younger forming a beautiful native forest in a good extent. The area was exploited some  years ago and today has a beautiful middle-aged forest  in about 45 hectares (111 acres) with many trails  inside.

The Flora of the area is diverse, majestic and wild , it belongs to a type of evergreen forest, with species such as Coigüe de Chiloé (endemic Chiloe Oak), Tepa and Canelo in the dominant stratum. In the condominants there are Mañio, arrayán, Luma and Meli all endemic to this southern chilean territory. In the undergrowth (sotobosque) there is hard firewood, myrtle, chilco, murtilla. The floor is covered with musgo, ferns and epiphytes, among others. There are also formations of pure forests of larch, Cypress of the Guaitecas, lenga and Canelo. Ferns are presented in abundance and chaura.

Many species of fauna are found and be seeing in wild state, the most oustanding marine species are Erizo, locos. Beautiful birds like  Yeco, Albatross, Quetro duck, Caiquenes and pelican, Chilean flamingo, among many others. The variety of Mammals like the  Chilote Fox, the Vizcacha, Puma, Coipo, mountain monkey, Pudú, Humboldt penguin, Nutria and tonina can also be found in this magnificent geographic area.
