The Route of the Chilean Patagonian Parks is a world wide scenic vision of the Chilean Patagonia. The Rewilding Chile Foundation ( legacy of Tompkins Conservation Chile Foundation), together with the National Forestry Corporation (CONAF), the National Tourism Service (SERNATUR) and other entities decided to jointly promote a destination for conservation and responsible nature tourism. This majestic route covers 2,800 Kms, 11.8 million Acres and invites you to explore 17 National Parks, which are part of the Chilean National System of Protected Wild Areas (SNASPE).  It is located between Puerto Montt and Cape Horn, integrating the world known  CARRETERA AUSTRAL with the PATAGONIAN CHANNELS  and the ROUTE OF THE END OF THE WORLD.

The Route of the Parks is a green lung for Chile and the planet, after de Amazon, it has the largest carbon storage in South America with a tremendous ecological value due to the level of native endemism; Rainforests, Subantarctic Forests, Wetlands, Ice Fields and the most extensive Fjord system in the planet. It crosses 1/3 of the Chilean territory and invites you to protect the unparalleled beauty of the Patagonia

The unique, pristine and wild ecosystems are a refuge for many species, most only found in this part of the planet. Fauna observation is a daily activity and a must. The beautiful Huemul and the Condor with their greatness are part of this lands.
