Segundo Corral is a rural town in southern Chile located in the valley of the Puelo River. It belongs to the commune of Cochamó, Los Lagos Region.
It is located 83 kilometers southeast of the town of Río Puelo and 11 km from the El Bolsón pass, on the border with Argentina.
The town is known for recreational fishing and for its proximity to Lago Puelo National Park in Argentina. There is a trail that was used in the past by the settlers to communicate between the two countries, where the Río Puelo/El Bolsón or Los Hitos pass is located.
In the surroundings are the towns of Primer Corral and Llanada Grande, as well as important attractions for recreational fishing such as Lake Inferior, Lake Azul, Lake Las Rocas, Laguna Los Patos and Barrancas stream.
The setting is uniquely beautiful. Tranquility abounds, as do the fish in the lagoon.
It is a valley of glacial origin, marked by the mighty Puelo River, surrounded by mountain ranges and abundant in waterfalls, lakes and lagoons. There are some native species uncommon in the rest of the country, among these, deserve special mention larches, huemules, pudúes, pumas and condors. It is also possible to find an exotic species from Argentina, the wild boar, animals that mixed with domestic pigs in the area.
The property has vehicular access for 4×4 vehicles up to the entrance of the field, then there are only tracks for hiking or horseback riding.

Accessibility

To get to Segundo Corral there are several alternatives:

By land:
From Puerto Montt you can take Route 7 to Caleta La Arena, then take Route V-69 to Puelo and then take Route V-721 to the Punta Canelo pier on Lake Tagua-Tagua.
The second alternative is to take Route 225 from Puerto Varas, then Route V-69 to Puelo and then take Route V-721 to the Punta Canelo pier on Lake Tagua-Tagua.
Then you must take a ferry that leaves from Punta Canelo and arrives at Puerto Maldonado. This section takes 45 minutes.
Then you must take the only existing road, through which you will pass through Llanada Grande, Primer Corral and finally Segundo Corral.
The total travel time from Puerto Varas is approximately 5 and a half hours and from Puerto Montt is approximately 6 and a half hours.

By air:
